ILLUSTRATIONS
My illustration works that displays my youthful style.

I am Joy
"I am Joy" is a piece inspired by a metaphor that reflects Constance's life. Her full name, Constance Joi Benford was given to her mother because they believed she would bring constant joy to this world.

Abstract Collection
An approach to focusing on the movement and experimentation of an art piece through color and shapes. The scale began to get gradually larger as the collection progressed into a full body of work.

The Earth's Heartbeat
Inspired by a quote from the "Comfort Book" written by Matt Haig.
"I love stillness. Slowness. When nothing is happening. The Blueness in the sky, inhaling the clean air. Birdsong over traffic. Spring flowers blooming with defiance. I used to think the quiet patches felt dead. Now they feel more alive. Like leaning over and listening to the earth's heartbeat. "

Happy Camper
Happy Camper, a kids' board game inspired by Scouts, blends fun with learning. Players tackle math and reading challenges to earn badges, fostering both knowledge and a sense of accomplishment. It's an interactive, educational adventure for young minds.

Bad Hair Day
This body of digital work illustrates the journey many young black girls go through growing up, learning how to do their own hair. Using the metaphor "A hair with a mind of its own" this piece shows the relationship between Constance and her hair for the first time.

Bath Time
A 3d paper art collage that illustrates a memory from Constances childhood when she put her fish into the bathtub with her so she could be a scuba diver. This piece shows childhood wonder from a child's point of view.

Had They Talked it Over?
A 3d piece created with cardboard and paper that illustrates a telephone pole with a scene of a woman within it.
